Matric Program Application & Enrollment

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an application through the Matric Program Application portal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Your use of the application form and submission of your application constitutes your acceptance of all terms contained herein.

2. Accuracy of Information

You agree that all information provided in your application is truthful, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge. You understand that any false, incomplete, or misleading information may result in:

  • Immediate rejection of your application
  • Termination of your enrollment
  • Forfeiture of any payments made
  • Legal action as deemed appropriate

3. Data Privacy & Protection

Personal information collected through this application will be used solely for:

  • Processing your application
  • Program administration and communication
  • Enrollment management
  • Statistical analysis and reporting (anonymized)

All personal data is securely stored and protected in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and relevant data protection regulations.

4. Financial Obligations

By completing this application, you agree to:

  • Pay all outstanding tuition fees as agreed
  • Adhere to the payment schedule specified in your enrollment agreement
  • Notify the administration of any payment difficulties immediately
  • Clear all financial obligations before receiving your qualification

5. Guarantor Suretyship

The guarantor named in Section C agrees to:

  • Act as surety for the fulfillment of the applicant's financial obligations
  • Ensure timely payment of all agreed fees
  • Assume full responsibility if the applicant fails to meet payment obligations
  • Accept liability for any additional costs incurred as a result of non-payment
  • Respond to all communications regarding payment defaults

The suretyship remains in effect until all fees are paid in full or the agreement is formally terminated in writing.

6. Program Attendance & Academic Requirements

As an enrolled student, you agree to:

  • Attend all classes and practical sessions as scheduled
  • Maintain a minimum attendance rate as specified by the program
  • Complete all assignments and assessments on time
  • Comply with all academic integrity standards
  • Participate in all required practical training and workshops
  • Meet all program-specific prerequisites and requirements

7. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to maintain high standards of professional and personal conduct. Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Dishonesty, cheating, or plagiarism
  • Disruptive behavior in classrooms or facilities
  • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination
  • Violation of health and safety regulations
  • Damage to property or equipment
  • Substance abuse on campus

Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including expulsion without refund.

8. Health & Safety

Students must:

  • Disclose any medical conditions that may affect program participation
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines in classrooms and labs
  • Use personal protective equipment as required
  • Report all accidents or incidents immediately
  • Maintain appropriate health standards

The institution is not liable for injuries resulting from non-compliance with safety protocols.

9. Intellectual Property

Any materials, designs, or work created as part of the program curriculum remain the property of the institution or as specified in individual program agreements. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or use such materials for commercial purposes without written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

The institution shall not be liable for:

  • Injuries or incidents occurring outside of scheduled classes
  • Loss or theft of personal property
  • System failures or data loss
  • Delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Career outcomes or employment prospects

Students are encouraged to obtain personal insurance for valuable items.

11. Modification of Terms

The institution reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Students will be notified of significant changes via email or portal announcement. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

12. Program Changes

The institution reserves the right to:

  • Modify program curriculum and content
  • Change class schedules when necessary
  • Adjust program duration due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Combine or cancel classes with low enrollment
  • Update delivery methods (in-person, online, hybrid)

Students will be notified of substantial changes as soon as possible.

13. Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Withdrawal Before Enrollment: Full refund minus administrative fees.

Withdrawal After Enrollment: Refund eligibility depends on timing:

  • Within 14 days: 80% refund
  • Within 30 days: 50% refund
  • After 30 days: No refund unless circumstances warrant institutional consideration

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the administration office.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this application or enrollment will be resolved through:

  • Good faith discussion with relevant department
  • Formal complaint submission to administration
  • Review by an independent appeals committee if necessary
  • Mediation or arbitration as a last resort

Students maintain the right to seek legal recourse if necessary.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa and the Republic of South Africa. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
